Settings (Side bar)=> Change PC Settings=> General=> Advanced Start Up=> Restart Now.
When prompted with 'Choose an option,'
Choose Troubleshoot=> Advanced options=> Startup settings=> Restart.
When prompted with 'Startup Settings,'
Press the number 7 key (Disable driver signature enforcement).
Now in the desktop (not metro),
click on settings (Side bar)=> Control Panel=> System and Security=> Device Manager.
Plug the Power Grid in via the USB cable.
MSD Virtual Com Port should populate under 'Other Devices.'
Double click on MSD Virtual Com Port=> Update Driver=> Search automatically for updated driver software.
When prompted by windows security,
click on Install this driver software anyway=> Close.
Open MSD View and verify that the Power Grid is connected.
